Annual Requirements Overview
All Representatives and some assistants must complete five different Packerland annual requirements by the end of each calendar year (in addition to the FINRA Regulatory Element CE required annually for all Registered Representatives and the Investment Advisory Representative CE required of IARs in certain states).
Representatives attending the ASCEND Conference have the opportunity to complete three of the five annual requirements in-person at the Conference. The remaining two annual requirements must be completed online through our online education vendor, Quest CE.
It is not mandatory, though, to complete anything in-person at ASCEND. Representatives attending the ASCEND Conference may still choose to complete all five of their annual Packerland requirements online through our vendor, Quest CE.
Representatives NOT attending the ASCEND Conference must complete all five annual requirements online.
More information regarding annual requirements will be sent in the fall. The deadline for Representatives to complete all requirements is 12/31/2024. Note that, while access to FINRA’s Regulatory Element and applicable state IAR CE is available today, access to Packerland’s online requirements doesn't open until after the ASCEND Conference.
This form only applies to conference registration. Do not fill out this form if you are not attending the conference. You can fulfil your requirements online through Quest CE without submitting this form.

Annual Requirements for All Representatives:
Annual Compliance Meeting: offered both online and in-person at the ASCEND Conference
Firm Element Part I/Anti-Money Laundering: offered both online and in-person at the ASCEND Conference (with Firm Element Part II)
Firm Element Part II: topic TBD: offered both online and in-person at the ASCEND Conference (with Firm Element Part I/AML)
Firm Element Part III: topic TBD: offered online only
Annual Compliance Questionnaire: offered online only

Conference Requirements Schedule and Sign-Up:
The Compliance and the Firm Element/Anti-Money Laundering courses will be presented twice during the ASCEND Conference.
On Wednesday, October 9, both courses will be presented at 8:00 AM. You can choose which, if any, to attend.
On Thursday, October 10, both courses will be presented again at 3:50 PM. You can choose which, if any, to attend.
You must sign up for these courses in advance! At the conference, we will provide reminders of the courses for which you are registered.

Annual Requirement Course at ASCEND Sign-Up: Compliance Meeting & Firm Element Part I/Anti-Money Laundering If you selected an "ONLY" option, please note that you must take the remaining course(s) (Firm Element Part I/AML/Firm Element Part II or Compliance) online in addition to the other two required online courses (Firm Element Part III and Compliance Questionnaire).

Total Fees for ALL Packerland Annual Requirements:
Registered Representatives (RRs)
RRs attending the 2024 ASCEND Conference will pay a discounted fee of $125. Even if you attend the conference but choose not to complete any of the requirements in-person, you still qualify for the discount. (The $125 requirement fee is in addition to the cost of attending Conference. You will be invoiced $125 for the courses after the Conference).
RRs not attending the 2024 ASCEND Conference will pay the normal fee of $250 (this covers all four requirements).
Investment Adviser Representatives (IARs)
IARs who attending the 2024 ASCEND Conference will pay a discounted fee of $175. Even if you attend the conference but choose not to complete any of the requirements in-person, you still qualify for the discount. (The $175 requirement fee is in addition to the cost of attending Conference. You will be invoiced $175 for the courses after the Conference).
IARs not attending the 2024 ASCEND Conference will pay a fee of $300 (this covers all four requirements as well as the IAR CE Ethics portion).
Quest CE charges the firm $50 per IAR for the IAR Ethics CE courses (6 credits). This will be available in your Quest CE accounts, and the $50 fee will be passed on to you with the invoice you receive after the Conference.
IARs that have already completed and paid for their 2024 IAR CE will not be invoiced again after the Conference
Note:
Since Packerland has prepaid all fees to Quest CE, you do not need to pay prior to taking the courses online. Just sign-in and complete your coursework. The IAR Ethics CE is available now. The remaining coursework will be available around the time of the Conference, and you will receive more instructions at that time.
You will receive an invoice for your courses after the ASCEND Conference.
